With about 500 km of marked cycle routes, Liptov provides optimal conditions for road bike lovers. In larger cities and in the adjoining tourist locations you can rent a bike and then choose between road and mountain trails. If you are interested, you can go for the ride with a guide. Many trails pass through protected areas, so you should know the rules of movement in the protected areas in addition to traffic rules and follow the relevant regulations. Favourite routes are around the Liptovská Mara water reservoir via the Čiernovažská Valley (from Kráľova Lehota up to Liptovská Teplička) or the Demänovská Valley. On these routes, you will enjoy a wonderful view of the part of Liptovská Valley and surrounding mountains as well as the water reservoir.
